Nona and Papi's house! 20th-26th
Josh was in Mexico last week, so the girls and I went to play at his parents house.
Farrah had lots of fun playing in there pool. Here is a video of her swimming.

I bought Farrah play shoes, and jewelery, and she wears them all the time.

I love this picture of Adra (Molly is talking to her, and she just kept giving her this look)

Molly's Show 25th-26th
Molly had a gig in Cordon, Indiana. She made a CD demo, which she sold there. (If anyone is interested let me know, they are only $5)

It was a little hard for the older girls to stay quiet and out of trouble the whole two hours Molly was playing, so Nona took several trips outside with them.

Josh came to Lousiville on Saturday, and we went to Molly's show and then drove home that night.

Mexico

Josh is in Mexico this week, so I am staying with his family in Indiana. We miss him so much. Adra is trying to walk a lot more now, and is starting to "talk". She is so cute! She took three steps (multiple times) last night. She gets too excited when she starts to take a step or two and then falls down, it is very entertaining to watch.
Last week we went to the Warren County Fair, in Lebanon. Josh and I had fun eating all the yummy fair food, and Farrah had fun looking at all the animals! Joshua, Adra, and I left early, but Mom and Dad kept Farrah there, and they rode the merry-go-round. Mom said that after that ride, Farrah wanted to go on all the big kid rides.
Unfortunately the internet here if very very slow, so I am going to try and upload a video and some pictures, but I don't know if they will work.

Twlight Obsession!

As most of you know I have a little obsession with the Twilight series. If you look to your right you will see I have added a countdown to the release of the fourth book in the Twilight Saga....Breaking Dawn. Honestly, I haven't been spending too much time thinking/reading about Twilight lately. I have actually been reading non-Twilight books (currently I am reading "Tuesday's with Morrie"). However, yesterday they released a new trailer for the Twilight movie, and that has awoken my obsession a bit!
Here is the new trailer for the movie….ENJOY!

Cave Run

Last Sunday we drove down to Cave Run Lake. Every year a group of friends and family go to Cave Run to have a week of camping, boating, and having a lot of fun! We decided to go down for a couple nights with the girls. BC and Hope we able to go down to the lake too (my parents, and Josh's parents and siblings go every year too). We had so much fun. Joshua bought a new, HUGE tent a couple months ago, and it worked out great. We put Farrah on a mat on the floor, we brought the pack and play for Adra, and Josh and I had a blow up mattress. Unfortunately, Josh and I did not sleep well, but the girls did great. Both of our families were the first to get there, and we had the first night there with just us, it was fun, we set up our tents, roasted marshmallows, rode on the boat, and played games. Here are some pictures of our fun couple of days down there.

Josh and I took the girls on a relaxing boat ride. They were soon both fast asleep, so we told them to drive us (while we are still on the tube) back to the dock so we can put the girls down for their nap. That didn't go so smoothly. If any of you have been tubing, you know if there is too much weight in the front of the tube, and the tube is is not going very fast.....disaster happens! The front of the tube goes under the water dragging the rest of it under! This happened, and both Joshua and I were laying back, half asleep ourselves and then we realized what was happening. I jump up and push Farrah to the back of the tube, and while doing this I wake her up and then continue to slide off the tube into the water. So poor Farrah sees a panicked mom push her back and then fall off the tube, and the tube is still moving so I am behind the tube and she can't see me anymore! Fortunately because I slid off the tube it came back up from under the water! But poor Joshua, was holding Adra and trying to console Farrah by telling her, "Look, mommy just went swimming"....Farrah didn't' buy it! Everything worked out, but the girls never took their nap!

On Tuesday we went to the beach with all of Josh's family (too many to list!). The girls had fun playing in the water, but soon the girls were sleeping, so we came back to camp.

Here is Farrah asleep after we got home from the beach. She took a nice long nap! (We were jealous!)

The Childress brothers, awaiting their wild tube ride!

a minute later... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The boys then started (well I think it was mostly BC) to try and push each other off the tube (as this video shows)

Next Molly, Mom and I thought we would try out the tube....and in my opinion we got an even wilder ride! Mom and I both got thrown off (at different times). And then one time the waves that Dad was making got so big that the tub went under them and we all had to jump off! We had such a fun time!

Here is a video of our fun tube ride.

Hope wanted to join in on the fun, but she is pregnant so she had to sit out the wild ride. Poor Hope.....oh wait a second she is pregnant.....I am jealous (well not really). Love you Hope!

And we are all exhausted!

We get home at 1am on Wednesday morning, so grateful to sleep in our nice comfy bed!

Things have been crazy!

So we have been so busy this summer! We are in the midst of packing for Cave Run. Every year our families and friends go on a trip to Cave Run lake, where they camp and boat for a week. Joshua and I went the second year we were married, and haven't been since. We decided to brave it this year so we are going to stay for three nights, and we are a little nervous about camping with the girls (at least I am). We do have both sets of grandparents there to help, so I am sure it will be fine.....and lots of fun!
Ok a quick recap...
After we stayed at my parents house while they were in Utah, we went and house/cat sat at the Allen's for a week and a half (that is why I have been slacking with the posts).
This past weekend was a lot of fun. Thursday was my mom's birthday and we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and of course dessert. Farrah wished Grandma a "Happy Birthday" and then told everyone it was her birthday the rest of the day....she is such a toot! And she loves birthday cake (whenever she sees any cake she always calls it "BIRTHDAY CAKE! My Birthday Cake!" )
On the 4th we went to Newport Aquarium, which was very crowded, and TONS of fun.

Farrah loved all the fish, and especially liked finding Dori and Nemo! She also loved the frogs, birds and snakes!

Adra also had a lot of fun, and kept trying to reach for all the creatures behind the glass.

The last place we visited there was the Shark petting pool, and mom and I both being very brave touched a couple of the sharks!

Here are the sharks that we touched!
We then walked through the gift shop, and I showed Farrah this Mermaid, and she was so excited and said "Merdaid!" and gave it such big hug (I had no idea she even knew that word). Grandma bought it for her and she just loves it! Below is a picture of her this morning loving up her adorable new toy.

On the way home from the Aquarium Adra decided to eat her socks.

Off to Cave Run we go. I will post when we get home....after I have recovered!
Also I forgot to add, Adra took two steps on Monday and three steps on Wednesday. She is very comfortable standing up on her own, but seems to not have a great desire to walk like Farrah did. Also whenever she does try to take a step Farrah gets so excited she runs over and hugs/tackles Adra to the ground. I will upload a video of Adra taking some baby steps soon!
