Thanksgiving was held at my parents this year. The crowd included us; my parents; Jan, Jay and Paul; Nola; Laurel, Brandon and their kids; Brandon's parents; Stacy and Carl and their girls. We had so much fun, and our girls had a ball playing with all the kids! Including our two girls there were 9 kids! Farrah had the most fun playing with Ava, and Nadia (they are all very close in age). Those girls played "house" Ava was the mom, Nadia was the big sister, and Farrah was the little sister. They walked around the house holding hands, taking naps, reading books, going to the doctor.....it was so sweet.....unfortunately I didn't get any video of them :(
Here is our yummy meal!
The little girl table - Mia, Nadia, Livy, and Farrah
Farrah enjoying the whipped cream!
Adra dug right in to the pie!
My mom bought this Farrah sized snowman, and Farrah of course loves to play with it, and she showed it to all the girls. We got some pictures of the girls with it.....it was a struggle to get them all to look at us.
I love this picture - Adra kept pulling the buttons on Mia's shirt.
Now attack the snowman!
Farrah got to play outside for a little bit
Spongebob time!
Words cannot express how cute this picture is! Adra just adores Kerrin.
On Friday we went to Greenville to celebrate with Josh's family. I am not sure why but I didn't take any pictures! We had a lot of fun visiting though. The girls unfortunately did not sleep at all Friday night, making me one grumpy mom the next day. Saturday after lunch we headed home. Overall it was a great break - it just went by too fast!

Joshua's family came over on Friday, and Friday night, Hope, BC, Joshua, and I went and saw TWILIGHT! We went to an 11pm show at a really nice theater, and there were only like 30 other people in there with us! The guy that worked there said that every single show had sold out except the 11pm showing, so we were happy! When we got there, there was a mile long line to get into the 10:30 show.
Ok, the movie definitely had some disappointing parts in it, but I am trying to not let those bother me too much. Overall I LOVED the movie. Robert did an amazing job playing Edward. I really was pleased with all the cast except for Jacob and Sam. There were definitely a lot of parts in the book that I thought needed to be in the movie, but what can you do. The part where Edward shows Bella what he looks like in the sunlight was really poorly done, not only the special effects, but how he showed her - nothing like it was in the book. Joshua has read the books and I didn't think he was going to like the movie, but surprisingly he liked it a lot. I really want to go see it again soon! The next day we just kept thinking of more scenes that should have been in the movie, but we know you can't put a whole book into a 2 hour movie.
On Saturday we went to Christmas in Springboro, and it was freezing. We got there a little late for the parade. Usually after the parade is over we walk around and eat some of the yummy food, but we were too frozen so we left right after the parade. Farrah loved it so much, and she got tons of candy! When we got in the car Farrah looked at me and said "My love the parade". It was worth freezing for that! It was funny because Farrah was like the younger brother in "A Christmas Story", she couldn't really put her arms down....but at least she was warm.
Anabelle slept through the whole thing.

Happy Birthday to Me!
Happy Birthday Mommy from Chelsea Childress on Vimeo.
Today is my birthday......I am 25 today! I really don't like having my birthday on a weekday. I wish Joshua could be home with me all day. Unfortunately not only does Joshua have to work, but he has to work really late. He is sad, I am sad.....but what can you do. He gave me my present this morning. He got us tickets to see Wicked! I am so excited, I have wanted to see this for forever! We are going to see it on our anniversary in Louisville. I really can't wait. I love him so much! I am being lazy today. I really should be doing laundry and cleaning, but I figure I can take the day off. Well not a complete day off....I still have two little babies that need to be fed, and Adra hasn't learned to change her own diapers yet. I love those girls so much....I am so lucky! Well Farrah is begging for more food so I got to go.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

Halloween and Indiana
We went to Louisville for Halloween, so that the girls could go trick or treating with their cousin Anabelle. We had a lot of fun but we missed my parents. We dressed the girls up on the 30th so my mom could see them all dressed up. My mom made Farrah's costume by the way, and Farrah loved it.
My ANGEL!
One tired trick or treater.
Farrah got really into the whole getting candy thing! When we finished she was sad and wanted to go to more houses and get more candy. She has only eaten like 8 pieces of the candy so far (poor girl!) Mommy is making sure she doesn't get to sugar crazy!
Here is a video of Farrah in action!

The goods!
On Saturday Joshua and I drove the girls to Indiana. Joshua left after church on Sunday and went home, on Monday he went to Mexico for the week. The girls and I got to stay in Indiana for the week. We went to the park almost everyday and fed the ducks and played on the playground.
Adra wanted to feed herself.
There were some puppies at Clyde's work, so we got to go play with them.
This is Farrah's "please Papi" face.
Joshua got home Friday, and Farrah gave him a huge hug and kiss. She really missed her daddy a lot. Throughout the week she would out of the blue talk about how much she loved and missed him, it was so sweet. Joshua bought the girls homemade dresses from Mexico and they are beautiful. I will have to get some pictures of the girls in them.
Life is back to normal, or as normal as it gets. I am now catching up on laundry...which is my least favorite thing!

No Halloween Pictures Yet
Well we didn't go to the "Trunk or Treat" last night with the girls. There were three reasons for this. Joshua had to work late, it was very cold, and Farrah threw up. She isn't sick, she just has a lot of congestion in her throat and started coughing, gagged herself and then threw up. Luckily we were in the kitchen (no carpet!).
After cleaning all that up, I wasn't really in the mood to try and dress the girls up, bundle them up and head over there solo. You will get to see the girls costumes soon though.
Today I took the girls with my mom to story time at the Library. We had a lot of fun, and I plan to return often. It is for kids three and under, and Farrah had a lot of fun (but was a little shy). I am excited to take her there often. Thats all for now.
Here are some pictures of when we carved pumpkins

Pumpkins
I have been really bad at taking pictures this last week, so I don't have too many to post. Adra is getting a new tooth on the bottom, totally her teeth to 7. She says "hi" and "bye" and sometimes says "dada", she really understands a lot of words though. I took her to the doctor the Friday after her birthday, and she weighs 17 lbs and she was 29.25inches long. We still have her facing backwards in her carseat, which she is really over, but you are supposed to wait till they are a year AND 20 lbs, so we have a little longer, the way that little toot is growing. Nothing much has been going on around here, well nothing I remember anyways. Last night we carved our pumpkin at my parents house, well actually Joshua carved it (dad and Joshua had a little contest to see who could carve the best pumpkin).....pumpkins are his specialty! I forgot my camera for that too, but I took some pictures of it once we got it home.
Here are some pictures of the girls in their tent, Farrah loves to bring a blanket in it and pretend she is taking a nap, and then she comes out and says "my have sweet dreams", or "good morning mommy" and then she goes back in the tent and says "my tired, my take nap". She is so fun. The older she gets the more you can see her imagination coming out, she does pretty good playing on her own, she is pretty creative and imaginative.
The other day Farrah decided to give me a spa like experience. She brushed my hair, and then had be lay down and she touched my mouth nose and eyes, and then she brushed my hair again and then she piled like 10 wipes on top of my face, and then she would take them off and repeat the whole thing over and over and over again. It was a lot of fun. Adra liked to try and pull the wipes off of my face though, which was also funny. Then she had me do it to her. Adra watched most of the time and then when we were done Adra picked up the brush and started brushing/beating Farrah's head. Farrah was a good sport and let Adra "brush her hair".
This isn't the best picture (below) but Adra kept reaching around Farrah and giving her kisses, it was sooooooooooooooo (emphasis!) sweet. I love those girls so much, and I love it when they are sweet to each other.
My mom and I took the girls to Joann's this week and I got these headbands for us, aren't they cute? I think I decided Adra is going to be a cat for Halloween, and Farrah is being an angel (I made a halo, my mom made the dress, and I bought the wings at Flower Factory). On Tuesday at church we are having a "Trunk or Treat", it is where people decorate the trunks of their cars and then the kids get to go trick or treating in the parking lot. I will try and get the pictures up of the girls in their costumes as soon as possible. For Halloween I think we are going to Louisville so the girls can go Trick or Treating with their cousin Anabelle.
Look at those dimples! (below)
Here is a not so good picture of our pumpkin. Joshua did an amazing job with it!
A couple weeks ago we bought a drying rack at IKEA, that hangs from the ceiling and it was just $15. The Thursday after Adra's birthday Suzanne and Clyde decided to stay an extra day at our house. Clyde cleaned our backyard, installed the dry rack, put in some hooks to hang our single stroller, and made us dinner! Suzanne and I rearranged the kitchen/living room, and cleaned up the house. Joshua was very excited when he came home, it was like coming home to a new house! Anyways, I have used the dry rack a lot, and it has cut in half the amount of loads that I dry (I am not sure that makes since). I used to dry 4-5 loads of clothes a week, and now I am drying 1-2! We also decided to cancel our cable. We have been talking about going back to basic cable for weeks, and I finally made the call, and 2pm today they are coming to take the cable box away. It is going to save us over $40 dollars a month, plus we will have more time to do more family activities! Cable will be missed, but we are looking forward to saving some money and spending more time quality time with the family.
My dad helped Josh put up some shelves in our laundry room, now we have a place to store more stuff. I have taken up most of it with my crafts and fabric (it didn't take long to fill up!). Thanks mom and dad.
Oh, I just thought of another big thing that happened. Last Saturday we bought a van! Yes we traded in the Envoy (that we loved), and got a Chrysler Town and Country! Honestly, we both love it! It is so much more practical than the Envoy (the room, the sliding doors) it really has made life easier. Also, the gas mileage is a ton better, and we travel to Louisville, and Indiana quite frequently, so the gas mileage is going to make a big difference. Luckily we still do not have a car payment, and I reminded Joshua that this will most likely be the last vehicle we buy without financing. Instead of going out and getting a newer expensive van, we got one that was around the same trade in value of the Envoy. The van is black, it is an 'o4, and has around 40,000 miles less then the Envoy had on it (which makes Joshua and I very happy!) Joshua was especially sad to see the Envoy go, but he is surprised by how much he likes the van. I LOVE driving it, it is so much nicer to drive then the Envoy! We are now proud minivan owners.
Random Video
This video was taken close to a month ago. If you have been checking out the blog for a long time you will probably recognize the little toy in the video. The "creature" has made several appearances in the past. Enjoy.
