Apples!

Finally getting back to the blog, and I have a ton of pictures to put up.

First I made this hair bow a couple weeks ago....isn't it cut.  You just cut circles, an then burned the edges, and then hot glue them all together, and voila you have a cute hair clip.  I love it, and have been wanting to make more, but haven't taken the time to do it.

We made a fall tree.  I used painters tape to make a tree and fallen leaves and then had the girls paint the picture with fall colors.
I don't have a picture of the finished product, but after the paint dried, the girls helped me take all the tape off, and they turned out so cute. (Look at sweet Dax)
Farrah has been working on preschool, and she just loves it (so do I).  We do it in the afternoon usually on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, which Dax and Adra are napping.
We got out all our little animals and our "pond" that we made months ago.  Dax thought the pond was a fun dance floor and it soon was in a bunch of little pieces.  Farrah was sad.
Last Saturday we went to Hidden Valley Fruit Farm for Apple Daze.  The whole thing was a big dissappointment though, because you had to play for everything, even to see the farm animals and play on the playground.  But we tried to have as much fun as we could.

The girls liked petting the horses.
Look at Dax in that hat!

There was a tractor that they didn't make us pay to sit on.

She is such a beauty!
I love pumpkins!
Farrah took driving this tractor very seriously!
Sisters!
We did buy some apples and apple cider (we had to!). We then went to Kroger and bought some caramels to make caramel apples, I also bought the stuff to make this delicious Halloween mix.

The girls have such great imaginations!  Here Adra was Farrah's puppy, and Farrah was feeding her.  Fun children.
Here are the caramel apples we made.
We tried to give Dax a regular apple, but he knew what the girls had was so much  better!
Mom and I took the kids to Irons Fruit Farm (I love this place). I love this picture of Adra!
Adra couldn't taking her eyes off the alpaca.
"BALL"
Farrah loves getting her picture taken!
and I love taking her picture!
My sweet kids
 Look at the huge bird!

Josh and I took the kids to the park.

I got some more apples at Hidden Valley and decided to make an apple pie.  Farrah and Josh helped me.

Looks good right!

Friday was date night, and when the girls saw me put curlers in my hair, they had to get put some in their hair too.

Cute kid!
Spaghetti is delicious and messy!
On Saturday we had Applefest in Lebanon.  The weather was perfect!  Josh ran a 5k in the morning and while he was gone we...

made apple necklaces and decorations.

and I made some apple hair bows.

Josh got first place!!!!

On our way to Applefest, Dax read the map for us.

 Outside of the Golden Lamb
Dax loves to point at everything
Watching the tap dancers

Finally asleep!

We met Grandma, Grandpa, Joel, and Brittany there!

After a few hours, the kids were very tired! (Dax usually only fall asleep in the car or his bed, he has to be really tired to fall asleep in his stroller!)
And they are spent!

We then had everyone over to our place for dinner.  Grandma and Grandpa brought the Corvette over, and naturally all the kids had to play in it.

Dax half dressed for church.  He is so handsome!
Today is rainy and dreary outside, which makes it the perfect craft day.  The girls made two-faced pumpkins.
Dax put things in a clear container. He loves this game!

The girls wrote letters and put them in their "mailbox" and then delivered them to all their baby dolls and stuffed animals.  Farrah really loved this game.  They cut the paper into rectangles, then on one side wrote their letter or drew pictures, and then on the other side they drew a stamp, the address and return address (Farrah just wrote her name).
Adra is spending the night with Grandma tonight (Farrah is going to tomorrow night).  I have distracted Farrah with some more crafts, she was pretty sad at first that 1. she was not spending the night with Grandma 2. she really misses Adra!  But it is good to have one on one time with their grandma.

Money money money money Money

Dental bills are horrible!  I went to the dentist yesterday, I had two fillings (I think) and one sealant replaced.  Guess how much that cost me.......$253!   That is the estimate of what insurance is not going to cover.  My jaw dropped when the receptionist stated that number, I mean we have dental insurance!!!! (I know that is a lot less then what you recently paid Janine, so I shouldn't be complaining too much).  I also grind my teeth and and need a teeth guard, which costs $350!  Yeah, so that is not happening anytime soon....I will just keep on grinding.  Next week is Adra's appointment and I will have to give them almost $400!  I am just so frustrated by all this money that is flying out of our bank account.  To top things off, when I was driving home from church on Sunday, my car started overheating.  It turns out that there was no coolant in the car at all.  This is not a natural occurrence!  We filled it up with coolant and it runs fine, but there is apparently a small leak somewhere that needs to be fixed......and that will cost more money.  Why is it that all of these things are occurring in on weeks time!!!  Anyone what to gift us $1000?  Anyone?????
Sorry this is just one big rant, but I am frustrated, and I don't think my babies will understand what I am talking about, so you get to read it! Thanks.

I will post pictures soon.

Just so you know....we are fine financially....I just hate it when a bunch of unexpected payments are due all at the same time.  I just wanted to complain to you, but we can pay our bills, it just means less money for fun stuff (or paying off student loans)

Since we've been home

We have been busy since we have been home!
We went to Grandma's house and rode bikes

We went to the barn to play with the chickens and then took pictures on the fence
Doesn't Farrah look excited?
My babies, are growing too fast!
Adra went to the pediatric dentist.  We found out she only has two cavities, I was so happy.  They told me that kids have different teeth and Adra's are just more susceptible to cavities (her teeth look chalky).  We have been taking extra care of everyone's teeth.  They get their teeth brushed every morning and evening (no exceptions!) and they get flossed every evening.  We bought those individual floss picks (I really don't know what they are called), and the kids love getting their teeth flossed.  I really liked the dentist, and so did Adra she got a balloon bunny (pictured above) a little toy and a sticker!   She goes back the 29th to get her two cavities fixed.  We will go in at 9am and they will give her a drug, and then we have to wait in the office for an hour (for the drug to kick in) and then the procedure will take about an hour (she only has two cavities, but they are really big ones).  The whole thing AFTER insurance is going to cost just under $400....yes you read that right.  Josh and I are really bummed.

On Saturday we went to Thomas the Train.  He comes to Lebanon every year and it is a really fun (free!) activity.  The kids love it.
Here they are going through the maze (first year they did it by themselves!)
"Get me out of here!"
Dax liked playing too!
Farrah bounced in the Thomas blow up castle.
We watched a short Thomas movie.
Thomas slide!
Conductor Dax.  We didn't buy it, just got a picture with it.  (I mentioned the $400 dental bill above!)
The kids get balloons!  Dax LOVES balloons!
HI THOMAS!
The girls are dying to ride the train (it is pretty pricey), but one day we will ride it!

Funny Dream Adra had a couple weeks ago.

"We are going to get the squirrels mom. They can talk, they can talk to me, they say yeyeyeyeyeyeye.; And they stomp their feet, but they can't walk." (There was so much more that I can't remember)

While Adra is telling me this Farrah walks in the room and says, "My nose just whistled, did you hear it guys."

While we were on vacation!

While we were gone....
So while we were in California the kids were having fun with their grandparents.  Here is some of what they did.

 Tried on some jewelery
Ate fast food :-)
Visited a sunflower patch (I want to go there).
Went to the beach
Did some crafts!
Watched movies in Nona's car.

The kids had a great time.

Thanks again!
