Easter

First of all I will tell you all that Joshua and I bought a house! Well right now it is just a lot, but there will be a house built on it, which should be done in September. Here is a picture of the lot....nothing much, but Joshua and I are so excited about it! (The mounds of dirt and stuff on the left is because there is a house being built right next door. By the time our house is done, we won't have to worry about construction right next to us)

Here are some pictures of the girls playing on Saturday. It is so nice to be outside (even if it is still cold) when the sun is shining.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FARRAH!!!!!!!

Yesterday we celebrated Farrah's 3rd birthday (her actual birthday is today). We had the party at my parents house. Nona, Papi, Hope, BC, Belle-Belle, and Sam all came up to celebrate. Farrah had a great little party and lots and lots of presents......Thank you to everyone!

Per her request I made her a princess cake, which she loved.

Look at all those presents!

Adra stayed awake just long enough to eat a piece of cake

Joshua and I took Farrah out to fish using the new fishing pole that we got her.
Farrah caught her first fish! It was so exciting!

Here is the fish tank and fish that Nona and Papi got for Farrah. Joshua and I set it up last night, so Farrah was so excited to wake up and see it. She sat up there for a long time just watching the fish and "hugging" them and telling them how much she loves them.

No morning nap

Yesterday I covered our kitchen table with paper, so Farrah and Adra could color all over it. Farrah was very excited!

Hard at work

Here is Adra at lunch today. She skipped her morning nap, and whenever she does that she can barely make it through lunch.

Beautiful Weekend

This past weekend was State Tournament weekend....for the Childress boys. Every year Joshua, his dad and his brother(s) travel to Lexington to watch the high school basketball tournament all dad Saturday. They all love it so much and it really is a great tradition. Joshua looks forward to it every year. This year Kirby got to go. He surprised his dad by flying home for it. He got home last Tuesday and goes home this Thursday. It was so nice to see him, and it will be years and years most likely until all four of them will be able to go to the tournament together again. Also part of the tradition is that they play golf.....Joshua won this year (way to go!).
On Sunday we all went down to Louisville for Samuel's blessing. Here are some pictures from that...

These sweet little girls stole the show a little bit

Farrah and Adra just LOVE thier cousin Anabelle....and both of them had to hold her hand. The three of them sat together during sacrament, and Adra just kept kissing on Anabelle. They are so fun to watch. Farrah and Anabelle played so well together during this trip too (they have struggled in the past), but they played so sweetly together and had so much fun....Farrah did not want to go home at all.

Cute story
This weekend we were at my mom's and Molly's friend Andy came over. When we left he asked Farrah if he could strap her in the car....of course she said "yes" and was just watching him and smiling. Then we went to Walmart so Suzanne could pick up a few things, and I waited in the car with the girls. Earlier that day we went to Target and I bought the movie "Twilight", and while waiting in the car at Walmart, I was looking at the movie. Farrah asked me what the movie was about and I said it was about a boy and a girl whole fell in love (I didn't want to get into the whole vampire thing...a little scary).
Farrah then said, "Sorry" (I am guessing it was because I said FELL in love.
So I told her that is was a good thing, I told her that mommy and daddy fell in love and got married and then had Farrah and Adra.
She responded sadly, "my have no love"....can you believe that toot! I told her that mommy and daddy loved her and rattled off a handful of other names of people that love her and that she loves. But she still said she didn't have a love. Then I asked her if she loved Andy, and she quickly said "YES, I love Andy". She is such a little stinker.
We then went home and Molly came over, so I asked Farrah the same questions, so that Molly could hear her say it. Suzanne asked her who her boyfriend was. Farrah thought about it for a minute and then said, "Daddy is my boyfriend" Isn't that the sweetest thing. Then she said that Champ was her boyfried too. She is such a sweetie.
I am sorry if you don't understand that story, it is kind of hard to tell in writing! Of course Joshua's heart just melted when I told him. Farrah and Adra are both Daddy's (and mommy's) little girls!
Adra stole baking chocolate out of the pantry this morning, I quickly put her in her highchair so she didn't make more of a mess (I didn't let her finish it). She loves to get her picture taken....can you tell?

We had a couple really pretty days this week. On Tuesday my mom and I went to The Gorge and had a fun day outside with the girls. We had a picnic and went for a walk along the water.

Adra was a little slower then Farrah....the picture below is Farrah waited for us to catch up to her so she can go on the bridge.

We also did some fishing this week, and Farrah LOVES it (which I am excited about, because we got her a little fishing pole for her birthday). Joshua caught this catfish, which gave him a good fight, and right before that I caught a bass.

Farrah and Adra got to play on my parents swing set, and had a lot of fun. They love being outside.

Joshua has to be at church at 6:45 for early meetings every week. I have to leave at 8:30 and get the lovely task of getting myself, Farrah and Adra ready in the morning. It actually isn't that bad, I get up around 7am and get as ready as I can before the girls wake up, which is usually 7:30. I feed them and myself breakfast, and then get them ready and finish getting myself ready. We are usually out the door at 8:25, and get to church in plenty of time. Yesterday morning, I had my usual routine, and by 7:30 the girls were still sleeping, so I took advantage and tried to get completely ready. 8am rolls around, they are still asleep, so I go downstairs and have breakfast, fix their sippy cups and snacks for church. By 8:10 I go upstairs to check on them. This is what I find....

They are both sleeping away in Adra's crib. I make a little noise while picking out thier outfits, and that wakes Adra up...

I get Adra all dressed and ready for church and Farrah is still snoozing away. Adra and I start talking to Farrah to try and wake her up. Here is a video of Farrah right after she woke up....the poor girl was so tired!

(Joshua did check on them at around 10:30 that night and they were in there own beds)

Of course on Saturday mornings they are always up bright and early, but the day both Joshua and I have to wake up early, they decide to sleep in. The little stinkers!
