Deer

Last night on our way home from my parents house, we hit a deer. Luckily Joshua was driving, because he handeled it very well, I would have probably run off the road. We were coming up a hill and near the top were three deer crossing the road, we hit the middle one. In the process we lost our grill on our car and one of our headlights is loose. My dad and mom came over and dad and Josh went to go look for the grill and the deer, pieces of the grill were found, but no deer....so hopefully the poor thing lived (Josh doesn't think it did though....we hit it pretty good!). While my mom was here we found out that my parents house finally got their power back on....so that was very good news. So I am afraid to drive the car now, and Josh is going out of town on Monday, so I am not very excited about next week, although my mom told me she wouldn't forget about me!

Side note, Adra is getting more....hmmmmmmm......how do I put it, well, she can hold her own now. If Adra and Farrah both want a toy, Adra doesn't give up without a fight......she even growls at her sister! She is also very compassionate too though. Yesterday Farrah was "fake" crying, and Adra went over to her and gave her a big hug and kiss. This morning when I brought Farrah downstiars and layed her down to change her diaper, Adra was so excited to see her and ran and jumped on top of her and gave her a huge hug. They are so sweet together!

Music, clean up, wild bird, and yummy cookies!

Tons of people are still without power, including my parents. I didn't mention before, but my dad was looking all over for a generator, and Lowes and Home Depot all sent their generators to Texas, leaving all of us in Ohio without power, and generators! (Of course it is great that they donated them to Texas, they didn't know that we would get this much damage). Well Josh and my dad went to Home Depot on Monday to get us some more Culligan jugs, and while they were there, Home Depot found two generators, so Josh went and sat on one. So now my parents have a couple little lights, and their refrigerator hooked up to it. Luckily it hasn't' been very hot, I can not imagine what it would be like for all these people if it was burning hot outside.

Last weekend Suzanne, Clyde and Adam (Josh's cousin) came to visit for a night. While they were there Suzanne and I went to Flower Factory, where I got Farrah a little container of make-up in the shape of a cell phone. Suzanne assured me that it was not messy at all and there was hardly any color to it. We both didn't realize that under the eye shadow there was very colorful lip gloss. Farrah had a lot of fun putting it on herself, and she also loves to put it on me!

Adra was very curious about my fancy lips!

We had a fun music filled morning yesterday. Here is Farrah playing her "drums". Watch Adra's face, while Farrah plays, it is so cute. David would be proud of Farrah playing the drums!

Adra has been sticking her tongue out a lot lately. She used to do this a lot when she was a newborn, but hasn't done it in a long time. I just love it, and her tongue is so long! Here is a video of it. Also Adra is getting two new teeth on the top.

We went to my parents yesterday to help clean up the yard. We gathered up a ton of limbs and made a huge pile on the bonfire. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun.

My parents were pretty lucky, they didn't have any huge trees fall down. The tree below is going to have to get pulled out. I don't know if you can tell but the tree is snapped in half at the base.

When we brought the last pile of brush to the bonfire a bird swopped down and almost hit us in the head. At first we thought it was attacking us, but then we saw it was a baby bird that was that great at flying yet, and it was hunting little bugs. We saw it catch a lot of them, but it seemed to not care that we were there. Farrah and Adra had so much fun watching it. It landed on Farrah's shoes once, and flew inbetween my legs once!

I love how in this picture Farrah and the bird are both looking at the camera.

I think Adra wanted to eat the bird!

Yesterday we also make cookie dough and icing, Farrah helped a lot, and she picked the two frosting colors.....of course one is pink! Today we made and decorated the cookies

Ike found us

Yesterday Ike traveled through Lebanon, taking trees, signs, telephone poles, and roofs down with it. When we left for church in the morning it was really windy, and when we left church three hours later, it was crazy windy! Farrah about blew away. There were tree limbs down everywhere. My parents have been without power for a day now. Luckily we never lost our power. People are acting crazy, there are lines at all the gas stations and some have already run out of gas. People were swarming to the grocery store. Josh left for work, and then came back about 20 minutes later because he got a call that the office was closed because they lost power. My dad's office is out of power too. It is so crazy to think that the hurricane came all the way to Ohio, and did this much destruction.

Cows Stink!

The other day the girls and I were in the car driving and I started to play Molly's CD and Farrah recognized it right away, and said "Dat Molly! My go Molly's house, my see Molly." (Sorry to break your heart Molly!) She liked to sing along with Molly too, Especially the "Heart Shaped" song (sorry Molly I don't know what the real title of the song is, my CD is in the car and I am too lazy to go check). Here is a video of Farrah singing along with her Aunt Molly.

On Monday we went for a walk around my parents pond and to our surprise there was a herd of cows back there (behind a fence, they weren't on my parents property).

Adra also got her first taste of White Castle that day. I swear that girl eats more then any other baby! She practically ate a whole double decker slider!

Farrah's toenail off this afternoon. She was not bothered by it at all. Her toe looked like this this morning.

Here is a picture of what her toe looks like now......very weird!

Thomas the Tank (Train)

On Saturday we went and saw Thomas in downtown Lebanon! Farrah had a lot of fun playing with the toy trains, and going through the maze with her daddy. She honestly doesn't really know who Thomas was before that day, but she really likes trains. GG bought her a balloon, and unfortunately it got loose on her arm and floated to the birdies. GG bought her another balloon and she was very happy. We also got some ice cream at Double Dip (yummy!) Afterwards we went to my parents house and we got out David's old train set, and Farrrah and Adra (and honestly Josh and I) had fun making different tracks and playing with the trains.

Adra liked to play with the trains too!

The huge Lego Thomas!

There's Thomas (you can actually ride Thomas, but we didn't)

Farrah pointing to Thomas as he pulled up.

Here is Farrah's second balloon, that she still has. When we got home Farrah gave the balloon and hug and said "My love you so much balloon." She is so sweet.

Farrah's toe is still doing good. It looks like the nail is starting to fall off, so it is only a matter of time....I am not excited about it at all. Josh is going to Detroit on Tuesday and then from there he is going to Chicago until Saturday, so I am not looking forward to him being gone, especially since there is a good chance Farrah will lose her toe nail while he is gone!

Attack of the girls

Adra is a little climber, look at her climb on her music table!

If I am laying on the floor the girls attack! They step on me, pull my hair, poke my face......ahhhhh....it is cute at first but soon gets really old! (I love the girls so much, and they love to climb on me so I suck it up and let them have their fun!)

Adra wants to be big already! She picks up any phone she can find (or remote control) and says "Hi" and then starts babbling, it is adorable (I need to take a video of her doing it). She watches everything we do and then imitates us. Her newest thing is trying to put DVD's in the DVD player. I can't believe she is already 10.5 months old! Time really goes by way too fast. I need to start planning her first birthday (unbelievable!)

She also is into pulling eyelashes (which isn't very much fun for mommy) She especially wants to pull mine when I have mascara on.

Farrah's toe is looking good. The toe nail hasn't fallen off yet, which is great. Unfortunately yesterday the girls both had fevers, they have had a little cold over the last couple days. When Adra feels sick, I can not get anything done, she just needs me to hold her all day long. I really struggle in the morning because I have to change Farrah's bandages and clean her toe all by myself (which is a little tricky), and I have Adra climbing all over my legs and feet crying for me to pick her up (so I have a mini nervous breakdown every morning, HAHA)

On another note, my Gramma is coming into town tonight from Washington. We are so excited for her visit! Fun pictures to come!
