Little update

We are moved into our new house. We closed at 8:30 Friday morning....after signing a bunch of papers and handing over a HUGE cashiers check, they handed us the keys, and that was it. It is still hard for us to believe that this house is OURS. We are slowly moving in. Friday Mom and I painted, painted and painted! We did so much more then I had planned....she is such a hard worker! We painted the play room and kitchen on Friday. Then we painted the living room and hallway on Saturday. My plan was to just paint the play room....so I am very excited....we just have to paint the hall bathroom and the downstairs will be complete! Joshua and my Dad went and got our living room couch and chair on Friday, and installed the water softener....which was a bigger job then we hoped. Josh's parents came over Friday night and helped us on Saturday. Saturday was the big move. With help from family and friends we moved all the big stuff and all our boxes into the house.....we appreciate all the help we got and are so grateful! Needless to say Friday and Saturday nights were not much for sleeping. Friday night we stayed at my parents because we had not moved our beds into the new house yet. We worked until about midnight that night. Saturday night was our first in the house. It was so nice to have our own room! Dax slept in his room, in a crib (that's a first for him). The girls (especially Farrah) were very sad at first to not be staying at my parent's house. They didn't sleep too well that night. Last night was a lot better, and they seem to really love their new house. On Saturday after we got everything moved in, the guys went back to installing. My dad hooked up the washer and dryer for us, then they all hooked up our microwave. Josh has been (and is currently) installing curtains and shades on the windows. There is a lot to do still, but we are taking it one day at a time. Friday we got our Internet installed, and the refriderator delivered also. We have a TV but did not sign up for cable, so we are limited to movies only....we will see how long this lasts, but we thought it would be good to go without TV for a little while. That is about it. Thanks again to everyone who helped us, by either watching our kids, moving us, or painting and installing....this transistion was made so smoothly because of your time and effort, and we are so extremely thankful!

Funny Farrah quotes:
Saturday night after the girls woke up around 4am, I was nursing Dax so Josh went and got them "juice"....but we didn't have any juice so he put a little bit of cherry 7-up mixed with lots of water in Farrah's sippy. He put them both to bed and soon after he went to bed we heard Farrah say, "Daddy this is not juice it is poison". We both just burst out laughing! What a kid.

Yesterday Farrah asked me if I liked superheros, and I said yes and then she started talking about how she doesn't like superhereos because they fight and kick people.

Today we were having lunch and we were looking outside and it was raining, Farrah told me that she didn't like the rain, so I explained to her that the rain is a blessing because it makes the trees, plants, and flowers grow, and also animals need rain so they have water to drink. Farrah then informed me, "pigs don't drink the rain, they eat pig food".
